Responsibilities

The Planning and Development Department is responsible for the economic development of the Village as well as the coordination of land use, zoning, and development activities, ensuring that they:

  • Enhance the quality-of-life of residents
  • Preserve the Village character
  • Maintain consistency with the Village's Comprehensive Plan

Planning staff serves as the liaison to the Plan Commission and a resource for elected and appointed officials, local businesses, and the community at-large.
