Birthday Bash
Kick-off Celebration Marks Willowbrook's 50th Anniversary
January 18th marked Willowbrook’s 50th Anniversary.  To commemorate the event, the community held a Birthday Bash on Sunday, January 17th at the Willowbrook Village Hall. Over 250 people attended the Bash and celebrated with the Village including Rob Stafford from NBC5 Chicago, FOX Chicago sportscaster Corey McPherrin and Tammie Souza, formerly with FOX Chicago and now Chief Meteorologist for WTSP 10 Connects in Tampa, Florida.

Mayor Robert Napoli and the Village trustees greeted birthday guests who enjoyed birthday cake, tours of the Village Hall and entertainment by Cloe the Clown. Decorations for the event were created by Unique Balloon Decorating.  Organized by the 50th Anniversary Committee, the event was financially supported by donations from the community including Whole Foods and Dominick’s, who donated birthday cakes for the event, Starbucks who provided coffee service and Binny’s Beverage Depot, who supplied soda and water. A commemorative book detailing Willowbrook’s history was also written and printed for the Birthday Bash and will be available at future anniversary events.  The Village and the 50th Anniversary Committee would like to thank all those who donated their time, money and / or services to make the event a success including Whole Foods, Dominick’s, Starbucks, Binny’s Beverage Depot and the Willowbrook Police Cadets who volunteered their time to the event!
