  • This is a common concern.  Citations for our Red light Enforcement Program come from the following address:Return Address

    The payment slip is addressed to PO Box 35131 in Seattle, WA.  This is the payment processing center used by Verra Mobility, the provider that manages our red light program.  An example of an automated red light enforcement citation can be viewed here(PDF).

  • A vehicle registered or leased to you was photographed by an automatic camera connected to a traffic signal. These cameras are only active when the light is red. Vehicles crossing the stop bar after the light turns red are detected automatically and three photographs are taken. Superimposed on each photograph is the date, time, location and how long into the red signal the violation occurred.  An example of an automated red light enforcement citation can be viewed here(PDF).

  • You may pay the violation through the mail, in person at the Village Hall, or online. Make sure to have your citation with you as the citation number and PIN will be needed to make payment.

  • No, this citation is not considered a moving violation. It is a civil citation holding the registered owner or lessee responsible for the violation (similar to a parking ticket). This does not get reported to the Secretary of State and does not affect your driving record.  No points can be assessed for this violation and it will not increase your insurance rates.

  • Yes, you may request an Administrative Hearing by mail or online. Failure to pay the civil penalty or to contest liability in a timely manner is an admission of liability and may result in a suspension of the driving privileges of the registered owner of the vehicle. If you request a hearing by mail, you will be notified in writing of the court date, time and location. You may also contact the Willowbrook Police Department at (866) 790-4111 to request a hearing.

  • Both the Hearing Officer and Police Department will make any reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities. Requests should be directed to the Willowbrook Police Department at (630) 325-2808 prior to visiting the facility.
