Willowbrook, Illinois, July 15, 2021: — On July 15, 2021, at approximately 2:48pm, the Willowbrook Police responded to a report of an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking that occurred at the Citgo Gas Station located at 6900 Route 83. At that time, two male blacks exited a black Dodge Durango, both offenders were armed with what appeared to be an AR-15 style rifle. The offenders approached the victims who were attempting to exit their BMW in the parking lot of the Citgo gas station (6900 Route 83). The offenders confronted the victims and demanded that they get out of the car. Both offenders subsequently took the victims BMW and fled south on Route 83 with the black Dodge Durango following.
During investigation, it was learned that the Black Dodge Durango was recently stolen out of Oak Lawn, Illinois. Willowbrook detectives working in conjunction with Chicago Police Department have located both the victims BMW and the Black Dodge Durango that offenders were using. These vehicles were recovered on the southeast side of Chicago.
Currently no offenders are in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
