On February 3rd, the Plan Commission held a public hearing in the Village Hall to consider changes to its Sign Code. To facilitate public comment, the public hearing was continued to March 3rd. The continuation allows businesses, residents and other members of the public to provide additional feedback on the proposed amendments.
The March 3rd meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall at 7760 Quincy Street.
The proposed changes aim to provide Willowbrook businesses a greater opportunity to promote their business, establish their presence and communicate their identity to customers. Information on the proposed amendments is available on the Village website. Highlights of the proposed changes include an increase in the amount of wall signage allowed for businesses as well as additional monument sign opportunities.
Willowbrook businesses are encouraged to review the proposed amendments, provide their feedback to the Plan Commission and / or attend the continued public hearing. Comments and / or questions regarding the proposed amendments can be forwarded to Village Planner Sara Hage at (630) 920-2233 or shage@willowbrook.il.us.
