[ARCHIVED] Tri-State FPD Awarded Steel Beam from World Trade Center

Tri-State Fire Protection District was awarded a piece of steel from the World Trade Center attacks. The steel beam has arrived on a semi-trailer. They will be bringing this unique piece of steel around to area communities for everyone to look at and touch. It is scheduled to arrive at the Willowbrook Village Hall on Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m.

Once the piece has made “its rounds” to the different communities, Tri-State Fire Protection District will have it installed at the 419 Plainfield Road Station, with a memorial ceremony being held on September 11, 2011.

Everyone is invited to come out on Thursday and view this piece of American history.
