The Village of Willowbrook Police
Department was the 201st police agency to be accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. and is considered an
excellent, high service, community-oriented law enforcement agency. The
Village is a diverse, highly service-oriented community located 15 miles
west of downtown Chicago. According to the 2000 U.S. Census,
Willowbrook has a population of 8,967 residents; however, the daytime
population is estimated at approximately 30,000. Extremely heavy traffic
moves through the Village during rush hours with approximately 100,000
vehicles traveling through the center of the community.
